Jung to describe the parts of ourselves that we hide, repress, or deny. Carl Gustav Jung, the founder of the concept of the Shadow in psychoanalysis, saw working with it as vital to a person's mental health and self-realization. According to Jung, the Shadow is an unconscious reservoir of everything that a person has repressed or does not accept in themselves. He emphasized the importance of integrating the Shadow, arguing that it is the acceptance and integration of these dark aspects that allows a person to live a full, creative, and harmonious life.
